Why this page exists

Most websites have an About page that gives readers context about the author — their personality, skills, and how they can help others.

My film photography website’s About page gives you a bird’s-eye view of who I am and what I do — you can start reading it here.

This page, however, shows my current reality and what I’m focused on right NOW. You’ll find the last update date at the top of the page.

By focusing on NOW, I can better say NO to distractions and stay committed to what truly matters.

Here you’ll find my main priorities, goals, and interests at this stage of life.

Here’s what I’m doing now:

-Learning how to develop and scan 35mm & medium format film at home

In early 2025, I returned to film photography after a 16-year break.

Following an inner calling, I bought an old Pentax K2. After shooting my first roll, digital photography lost its appeal entirely.

In February I took a photography class in Chiang Mai to learn film development, and I’m awaiting a Valoi scanner to handle everything myself without “middleman” scanning labs needed.

There’s something magical about holding developed film and examining each frame through a looking glass.

-Learning how to write articles for my film photography blog

Alongside my renewed passion for film, I launched this blog to document my journey and share insights.

Writing has always been a love of mine, but I never made time for it. Now I have.

When I write about something that inspires me, the words flow naturally.

The blank page no longer intimidates me. Starting is still the hardest part.

Anne Lamott discusses this in her book Bird by Bird, which I recommend to all creatives.

-Filming my film photography journey and making YouTube videos for my channel

With two decades of video experience under my belt, I’m expanding beyond just blogging.

I aim to weave writing, images, and videos into immersive experiences — or tiny worlds where film photos, words, and moving images interact together.

I’ll update this page when the first video will go live — stay tuned or join my email list.

-Reading Lonely Planet Thailand (19th edition)

My current reads include The Logical Thinking Process, Ultimate Veg, Accidentally Wes Anderson (a visual journey), and Lonely Planet Thailand (19th edition).

Thailand’s guidebook is my priority — I want to deepen my understanding of my adopted home.

I first visited Thailand in 2012 and have lived here for about six years.

Though I’ve been here so long, I still discover new things to explore and understand about this country.

Once the summer heat subsides, I’m planning a road trip. I want to discover what each region offers, especially the hidden gems off the tourist trail.

-Working on a free film photography email course

I’m creating the resource I wish I’d had when starting with film photography back in the day in 2009.

While not primarily video-based, the course will include some video content.

I envision an experience that combines reading, hands-on exercises, practical lessons, and pure inspiration.

My goal is to help complete beginners become confident film photographers who can capture meaningful memories.

-Editing video from my Japan travel

In early May, my girlfriend and I spent two wonderful weeks in Japan.

We captured the journey on video and shot nine rolls of film. I’m now carefully crafting these moments into lasting memories.
